About World Calendar
World Calendar is a practical reference for public holidays, week numbers, annual calendars and date countdowns across countries.
Coverage
The site currently covers 21 countries for 2025-2030, with localized country names and date formatting for 12 languages. Each country page lists public holidays, selected observances, yearly calendar views, week numbers and links to individual holiday dates.
How the calendar data is built
Holiday dates are calculated from maintained rules in the site code: fixed calendar dates, weekday rules such as the fourth Thursday in a month, Easter-based offsets and a small number of year-specific lookup tables for holidays that do not follow a simple Gregorian rule.
The site is designed as a planning reference. For payroll, legal, travel disruption or contractual decisions, check the relevant official government calendar before relying on a date.
Corrections
Holiday rules can change. To report a missing or incorrect date, email contact@worldcalendar.io with the country, year, holiday name and a source link.
Locale and time handling
Calendar calculations are normalized to UTC dates, then displayed using locale-specific labels such as English. This avoids local browser time zones changing the displayed day while still keeping dates readable for each language.
